The Vice President, Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management, is a senior enterprise leader responsible for end-to-end planning excellence across Inventory Management, Supply Chain Transformation, Consumer Planning, and Corrugated Planning. This role sets the strategic direction for integrated business planning (IBP), drives operational discipline, and leads large-scale transformation initiatives to improve service, working capital, and cost performance across the network.
The VP partners closely with Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Logistics leadership to translate demand signals into executable, optimized supply and inventory plans while building scalable planning capabilities for the future.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Establish and lead the enterprise vision, strategy, and operating model for inventory management, demand planning, and supply planning across consumer and corrugated businesses.
- Serve as the executive owner of integrated planning governance, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, inventory, and financial outcomes.
- Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on supply chain risk, tradeoffs, and scenario planning.
Inventory Management
- Own inventory strategy and performance, balancing service, cost, and working capital objectives.
- Drive improvements in inventory turns, obsolescence, and network optimization through disciplined planning and analytics.
- Partner with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to align inventory targets and accountability.
Consumer & Corrugated Planning
- Oversee consumer and corrugated planning organizations, ensuring clear accountability for production, capacity, and supply plans.
- Drive standardization of planning processes while enabling flexibility for business-specific requirements.
- Ensure strong linkage between mill, converting, and customer demand plans.
Transformation & Digital Enablement
- Lead supply chain transformation initiatives, including advanced planning systems, analytics, and process redesign.
- Champion adoption of new tools, technologies, and ways of working to modernize planning capabilities.
- Deliver measurable value from transformation efforts (e.g., service improvement, inventory reduction, cost savings).
Talent & Organization Leadership
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing planning and inventory management leadership team.
- Create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
- Actively support succession planning and leadership development across the organization.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
- Progressive experience in supply chain, finance, planning, or operations, including senior leadership roles.
- Experience in inventory management, demand planning, and integrated business planning.
- Proven experience leading large, complex organizations and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate planning decisions into P&L and working capital impact.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder influencing skills across all organizational levels.
