Entry-Level Process Engineer

Are you a recent or upcoming engineering graduate looking to launch your career in a hands-on manufacturing environment? As a
Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving product quality, operating efficiency, and profitability through data-driven process improvements and technical problem-solving.
You’ll partner closely with Operations, E&I, and Process Control teams to support mill objectives while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

How You Will Make An Impact
- Determine, evaluate, and implement process changes and trials to improve operating efficiency, performance, and process stability
- Collaborate with Operations, E&I, and Process Control Engineers to gain a full understanding of mill processes and cross-functional impacts
- Lead and coordinate raw material and process trials to drive continuous improvement within assigned operating areas
- Serve as the owner and subject matter expert for Process Book, ensuring Distributed Control System (DCS) data and documentation remain accurate and current
- Troubleshoot pump performance using pump curve analysis to evaluate design adequacy, wear, life expectancy, and performance issues
- Track, analyze, and interpret process and production data to support recommendations and decision-making
- Cleanse and analyze data using statistical and analytical methods to identify key variables and process drivers
- Generate production and process monitoring reports and support daily troubleshooting activities
- Share best practices and technical knowledge with peers across the organization
- Communicate process performance and improvement results to operations and leadership in a clear, actionable manner
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; Chemical Engineering or Paper Science preferred
- 0–2 years of experiencein a process engineering role
- Internships and co-op experience are strongly considered
- Experience with plant information systems and Minitab
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- VBA and PI System experience preferred
- Internship or co-op experience in the paper industry or a similar manufacturing environment preferred
