Senior Mechanical Engineer
Are you an experienced mechanical engineering professional who enjoys combining hands-on design work with coordination and development responsibilities? Join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and play a key role in strengthening and developing our mechanical engineering capabilities within the Automation Solutions Operations QMS & Converting organization.
In this position, you will take ownership of coordinating and developing outsourced mechanical engineering activities while also contributing with your own design expertise. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, R&D, sales, service, and project organizations, ensuring high-quality mechanical design solutions that support customer needs and business growth. Your responsibilities
- You will coordinate and develop outsourced mechanical engineering activities, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
- You will work closely with external engineering partners, supporting collaboration and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
- You will provide mechanical engineering support for sales activities by creating and developing technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
- You will support the R&D organization with mechanical engineering expertise throughout product and technology development activities.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, service, sales, sourcing, and R&D to ensure successful project execution.
Expectations for you
- You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
- You have solid experience in mechanical engineering and machine design within an industrial environment.
- You have strong hands-on experience with CATIA and SolidWorks, and are comfortable creating and reviewing mechanical designs.
- You have experience working with external engineering partners, suppliers, or subcontractors.
- You have strong communication and cooperation skills and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders.
- You are able to communicate effectively in English and in Finnish. Additional language skills are considered an advantage.
Some travel is required in this position.
