We are now looking for a Commissioning Engineer to work as a member of our Pulp, Energy & Circularity Commissioning team. As a Commissioning Engineer you will support the commissioning planning and preparations at the office, and you get to do commissioning works on Valmet installation sites around the world. The projects include PEC projects focusing on White Liquor Plants. As Commissioning Engineer you will make sure the commissioning works are done according to Valmet plans and instructions: in schedule, in budget and with good quality. Mostly work is done together with the Valmet team and the client on site, but in smaller projects you can work independently. Ensuring a safe environment and working methods for yourself and your team members is a priority. Your main tasks as a Commissioning Engineer are: Planning of start-ups in co-operation with customer Starting up equipment and processes Preparation of presentation and training material Process/equipment testing Customer support in co-operation agreements Reporting (status reports, progress follow-up, feedback for equipment and processes development) Overseeing necessary documentation (inspections, installation punch list, quality documents, acceptance certificates) Requirements You should have a degree in a suitable technical field as well as working experience in pulp mills or power generation operations. Hands-on experience in commissioning works of similar equipment and knowledge of automation or control systems is also appreciated. Fluent English skills are essential in this position. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills to build and keep up good relationships with both external and internal clients. You enjoy problem solving and troubleshooting. Even though this includes very practical tasks, you need to have systematic ways of working and keep your paperwork in order. Interest to work on assignments globally and flexibility to changing conditions are a requirement, as the individual assignments will last for several months at a time.
