Procedural and legal compliance relating to GST. Working closely with consultants pertaining on matters related to indirect taxes as they relate to the company. Landing GST related compliances with the help of an established consulting firm for all States across the Country
Supporting the Tax head on indirect tax litigations (GST, customs).
Responsible for maintaining all records, accounting, filing and interacting with the relevant departments, either directly or through consultants for tax.
Responsible for accounting hygiene and review of schedules pertaining to direct and indirect taxes.
Delivering projects relating to area of indirect taxes.
Actively participating in initiatives which result from changes in process or changes in environment in the area of indirect taxes.
Working closely with building preparedness for the company’s position in the event of any proceedings, litigations or such association
Working with the ASP/ GSP for monthly filing of GST returns.
Working on month end closing (Preparation of JV's related to Indirect and Direct Tax GL's)
Tracking of Tax related Provisions
Tracking of Bond and BG for custom Duty concessional rate of duty benefits
Direct Tax learning
Working on return of income in India for foreign affiliates Working on Advance Tax calculation Working on litigation on foreign affiliates in India. Working on Transfer pricing compliances such as form 3CEB, TP study report. Working on monthly Income Tax Computations in system and reconciliation with system
Accountabilities
Tax Accounting
Tax policies, procedures and reporting
Responsible for procedural compliances.
Filing of returns, payments of taxes, maintenance of statutory fiscal report.
Working together with Financial Services Manager and Financial Controller for processes related to tax and fiscal compliances.
Export formalities and execution of tax projects.
Tax Planning and Reporting
Direct and control the identification, research and advice on opportunities and methods available to minimize the Company indirect tax expense consistent with the respective laws and overall corporate objectives
Ensure tax planning opportunities are fully exploited and supporting policies are documented.
Taxation planning to minimise indirect tax exposure and maximise available opportunities is to be executed within the context of maintaining the Company’s status as a good corporate citizen. Working with the business team on indirect tax impact of various decisions – pricing, consumer promotions, etc
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement.
