About The Role
To assist the Gluing operator to achieve high quality results in the conversion of printed and cut finished cartons. The role will support the day-to-day delivery of production on the line in either feeding, packing or palletizing.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist Operator with the setup of the machine to the standard required in preparation for the conversion or embellishment (make ready)
* Assess product for meeting quality standards, undertake quality checks
* Assist the Operator with the gluing machine to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met
* Conduct routine maintenance with the operator in accordance with the Daily Equipment Care checklist
* Review workload with the operator to ensure all preparation work is managed in a timely manner to ensure continuous running of the machine
* Responsible for housekeeping within department in accordance with GMP Policy and Audits.
* Assist in cross training other staff where applicable
* Coordinate and liaise with operator to ensure jobs are prepped
Qualification
* 1+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
* Ability to read technical drawings (Knife/Glue Line)
* Understand basic machine function
* Understand ‘pre make ready’ process
* Knowledge of standards and process
* Ability to communicate effectively
