The primary function of a Maintenance Oiler/Greaser is the safe day-to-day maintenance tasks of the various corrugated machinery.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
- Practice safe work habits at all times.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of all lubricants and specialized products used
- Demonstrate ability to make simple repairs to all plant equipment.
- Demonstrate ability to recognize and report potential maintenance problems before it becomes a breakdown situation.
- Thoroughly understand lubrication programs, diagrams, and documentation.
- Willingly to work all hours and shifts necessary.
- Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas.
- Use proper lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending techniques.
- Perform each task in a manner which prevents bodily injury, equipment, and product damage.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repair of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during service.
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as necessary.
- Demonstrate knowledge and use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties safely.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- May be assigned to other projects and duties.
- Candidate MUST meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must have high school diploma or GED.
- Able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
- Must be in good physical condition; i.e. able to lift 25-50# on a consistent basis.
- Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Must have the desire to learn new and/or advanced policy/procedures and maintenance routines
Candidates Are PREFERRED Who Offer The Following
- Prior work experience in the corrugated box industry.
Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
