The Opportunity
Entry‑Level Operations Team Members Provide Full‑time Vacation And Training Relief Until Seniority Allows Bidding Into Permanent Positions. You Will Have The Opportunity To Work Across Multiple Areas Of The Mill Within a Department Labor Pool, Including
- Paper Mill
- Pulp Mill
- Shipping
- Power & Recovery
This role offers exposure to a variety of jobs in a fast‑paced, physically demanding industrial environment that requires adaptability and multitasking.
What You’ll Do
As Part Of Our Operations Team, You Will
- Work and communicate effectively in a team‑based environment
- Follow standard operating procedures
- Adhere to all safety rules and job‑specific requirements
- Comply with environmental policies and guidelines
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards
What You Need to Succeed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of continuous full‑time work experience, preferably in manufacturing/production, or post‑secondary education
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and demonstrate basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes
- Ability to work rotating 12‑hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to working safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs throughout the shift
- Ability to work in noisy environments, around chemicals, high heat, and in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Pulp & Paper manufacturing experience
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience within the last 5 years
- Experience operating:
- Overhead cranes
- Bobcats
- Lift trucks, clamp trucks, or scissor lifts
- Experience working around large, moving machinery
- Prior experience working rotating shifts
