The Opportunity
The Design Assistant is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Design team and will prepare prototypes and mockups to meet the requirements of external and internal customers and to meet the production and quality goals of the department. They will also perform preventative and routine equipment maintenance and maintain department supplies.

- Format CAD and AI files for use with Kongsberg sample cutting table and Roland printer.
- Work with Design Teams to prioritize requested output.
- Prepare samples and/or mockups for shipment (cutting, finishing, gluing, packing).
- Participate in ideation sessions as needed.
- Assist with store audits as needed.
- Photograph packaging and samples as needed.
- Maintain office environment – keep record of inventory for office supplies, paperboard, and ink.
- Coordinate with outside vendors to obtain pricing and delivery commitments for external sampling as needed.
What You Need To Succeed
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design or related fields of study preferred but not required.
- Similar work experience preferred – working with a team in a professional office environment.
- Intermediate computer skills (email, routine database activity, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
- Strong communication and demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, machine operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Performs other jobs as assigned.
